We gather on the first Wednesday of every month for a time of worship and prayer. We set aside this time to worship God because he is worth it. In all of his majesty and power, he is supreme above all. Yet he has also been abundantly gracious to us, his children, so we celebrate him!
We also set aside time to pray, recognizing that it is a simple but mysteriously powerful thing. We can talk to God, he hears us, and he answers in his sovereign power, love, and authority. At any of our gatherings, you will find our people praying for God to save, heal, forgive, reconcile, and give the Holy Spirit, but it is important to us that we set aside this special time to seek the Lord together for these things.
The famous 19th century preacher, Charles Spurgeon, once said,
"Oh, without prayer what are the church's agencies, but the stretching out of a dead man's arm, or the lifting up of the lid of a blind man's eye? Only when the Holy Spirit comes is there any life and force and power."
Statistically, the prayer meeting is one of the least attended gatherings in American churches. We want to see this changed for God's greater glory among the nations and our greater joy in Him. Please join us on every First Wednesday.
